I Found THE Lifting and Running Balance (My Hybrid Training)

Looking back to an actual week of training.

Lifting and Running = Hybrid Approach

Juggling marathon training and gym strength workouts can seem like such a balancing act, but I've found a groove that's been incredibly effective for me.

I feel like I'm in the best shape of my life—fit, organised, and strong!

Here's how I've been managing it all.

I've crafted a hybrid training routine that keeps me strong in the gym while prepping for my marathon:

  • Full-Body Training Split: I divide my week with strength days focusing on the glutes and legs, plus sessions targeting shoulders, triceps, back, and biceps.

  • Active Recovery: I've made room for an active recovery day where I dial it down a notch and focus on mobility work to loosen up any tight spots and help my body recover.

  • Marathon Training: To make sure I'm not neglecting either lifting or running, I split my runs into two sessions throughout the week. This way, I can give proper attention to both aspects of my training.

I've just filmed a new YouTube video where I share my current training split, including sets and reps! So, if you're curious about how I balance it all, have a watch!

It’s all about finding the right balance between lifting and running, listening to your body, keeping at it consistently, and, most importantly, enjoying every step of the journey!

I’m Preparing a Surprise!

Over the last few weeks, I’ve been reflecting on my journey and my whole transformation. This really made me think there’s something really missing that I haven’t seen anywhere else yet.

That’s why I’m working on a Spring/Summer challenge to help you find your hybrid training schedule while eating well and being more mindful.

I don’t want to spoil it just yet, but let’s say this: a few hundred early-comers will get benefits that nobody else will get again!
